๐Ÿ“… Upcoming Plant Tour: Preferred Building Systems โ€“ July 30 at 2 PM

Representative Wayne Hemingway has arranged an exclusive plant tour of Preferred Building Systems (PBS) on Wednesday, July 30 at 2:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to learn more about cutting-edge homebuilding technology and see modular housing manufacturing in action.

๐Ÿงญ Tour Details

Date: Wednesday, July 30
Time: 2:00 PM
Location: 143 Twistback Road, Claremont, NH

๐Ÿš— Travel Tip

Due to construction on North Street, including gated one-way traffic, you may want to consider alternate routes:

  • Enter from Sullivan Street near the dam by the paper mill

๐Ÿ  About Preferred Building Systems

PBS is a leading manufacturer of energy-efficient modular homes. While many homes are sold through contractors, being your own contractor is legal in New Hampshire.

PBS homes include:

  • โœ… Energy efficiency as a standard
  • โœ… Advanced thermal management and air sealing
  • โœ… Focus on indoor air quality with low-VOC materials

๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Why Attend?

As a longtime member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, I can confirm that plant tours are always a draw for curious mindsโ€”not just engineers.

This tour is a fantastic opportunity for:

  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽ“ Students exploring careers in design, construction, or manufacturing
  • ๐Ÿ—๏ธ Young professionals interested in sustainable building
  • ๐Ÿก Homeowners or DIY builders curious about modular home design

Come see how modern homes are designed, sold, manufactured, delivered, and assembledโ€”all under one roof!

  1. Hi ย Wayne:Is this tour for tomorrow? The day of the week and number didnโ€™t match up. I called the company and they said the tour was for tomorrow and I asked where they were meeting at the plant and she put me on hold. I ended up leaving a message on a voicemail. I am still interested in going if it is indeed happening tomorrow please get in touch with me if itโ€™s tomorrow or not. I hope you can add me to the list.Thank you,Laura Wardย 60-477-7138
