Claremont Brownfields Summer Tour

I neglected to include mention of this event from mid summer of 2025. Interested members will find hard copy (including B size maps) in the SCGOP office. Claremont residents might also be interested in attending the Steering Committee for EPA Multipurpose Grant Meeting which is addressing how to use part of the space discussed during the Brownfields tour, now designated as the Synergy block Below is commentary from Lauren Kaija, who led the Brownfields tour….

Time flies, and the nearing end of the year prompts reflection on 2025 happenings. Who would’ve thought there would be so much interest in the City’s history and recent brownfields accomplishments, and from such a variety of individuals!? We had local experts who saw Claremont in its industrial heyday, City, regional and state representatives and lawmakers, environmental professionals, interested citizens, and invested developers.

Credere would like to thank you all for taking the time to attend the August 2025 walking tour, contributing with thoughtful conversation, questions, and stories. The pamphlet that was distributed in paper form during the tour is attached to this email in .pdf form, and the online story map is linked here.

We welcome any feedback or questions related to the event or Brownfields in Claremont in general! If there are any missed connections or folks you meant follow up with who were also in attendance, I am happy to be a liaison.

All the best,

Lauren Kaija
