Jeanne Shaheen’s Vote For Sequestration Put Nashua Airport On Chopping Block
Concord- New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairwoman Jennifer Horn said today that Jeanne Shaheen’s vote this week on transportation funding legislation violates the spending caps she once supported when she voted for across the board sequestration reductions that have resulted in Nashua Airport being put on the chopping block.
“Jeanne Shaheen proudly voted for sequestration, even though she knew it would put Nashua Airport on the chopping block. But this week she tried to cover her tracks by voting for a bloated spending bill that violates the budget caps she once voted for, despite knowing that it would trigger another round of arbitrary spending cuts that could shutter Nashua Airport. Jeanne Shaheen is the sequestration queen, she voted for it and she owns it. Shaheen needs to explain why she backed legislation that has kept Nashua Airport under the constant threat of closure ever since.”
