Concord – New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Jennifer Horn released the following statement today applauding bills passed by the Senate Ways and Means Committee that would reduce burdensome taxes on New Hampshire businesses:
“Taxes on New Hampshire business are some of the highest in the country. They discourage job creation and make it harder for recent college graduates to find jobs and stay in our state.
“We applaud Senate Republicans for keeping their promise to voters to reform an outdated, burdensome tax code. With states across New England reducing their business taxes, New Hampshire must follow suit or be left behind.
“Passage of these commonsense reforms should be a top priority for lawmakers in Concord. Governor Hassan should abandon her reckless plans to raise taxes and join Senate Republicans in supporting legislation that will send a clear message that New Hampshire is open for business.”
