CONCORD- NHGOP Chairman Wayne MacDonald released the following statement following a press conference from New Hampshire Democrat gubernatorial candidate Molly Kelly. The former state senator lied about Governor Chris Sununu’s accomplishments regarding vulnerable children in New Hampshire and ignored the leadership Governor Sununu and New Hampshire Republicans have brought to Concord to advocate for New Hampshire children:
“Molly Kelly should be ashamed of herself and her campaign. Governor Chris Sununu has been a strong advocate for New Hampshire’s children, and has gone to great lengths to bring crucial reforms to DCYF. Governor Chris Sununu restored voluntary services, created an Office of the Child Advocate, and signed a balanced state budget that added 20 child protective services staffers. Republican leadership in Concord under Governor Sununu also increased foster care rates by over a million dollars, securing brighter futures for our state’s foster care population. The Governor’s record on protecting New Hampshire’s most vulnerable population – our children – is crystal clear. Molly Kelly should focus more on winning her primary campaign as opposed to lying about Governor Sununu’s long list of accomplishments for New Hampshire Children.”
